We would like to show you the cottage interior design full of family values brought from travels. The cottage in Utah (USA) belongs to a married couple who wanted to bring the atmosphere of their apartment in Paris here.
Paris blue accents against the background of aged whitewashed wood, splashes of color from flowering plants, shelves with accessories purchased at the flea markets, as well as the kitchen floor in black and white squares like in a bistro – all this clearly shows that the owners of the cottage have something related to the other shore of the Atlantic ocean. They do have – to Paris.
Unlike the Paris apartment, the owners’ house in Utah is surrounded by a spacious garden with a blue swimming pool, greenery and garden sculptures.
The cottage furnishing tells the story of numerous trips of the couple: small cozy spaces, a huge number of artworks, as well as perfectly-organized storage space, the key point in a successful cottage planning, featured by interesting cupboards, shelves and baskets.
When you enter the cottage, there is a magical feeling as if you’ve got into a charming dollhouse in another time and space. But each detail breathes with life. The house is overwhelmed with the flavor of gourmet homemade cakes, a smell of lavender and herbs growing in pots, and favorite music of the couple – light French jazz – which always plays somewhere in the background.
The windows and the doors of the cottage overlook the garden views blurring the boundaries between the outdoor and indoor spaces. The cottage, which is almost a hundred years, was built on one and a half floors. Upper rooms have sloping ceilings that form interesting cozy corners. A large number of tiny windows and balconies makes you feel that the house flits in the trees with the birds.
