This shingle style cottage is located at the seaside, on a rocky shore that provides a magnificent view to the Atlantic. In was built in 1880′s and then several times was renovated. This project includes the renovation of a cottage and addition of some new spaces.
The cottage got new kitchen, ocean room, and master suite. All of them have an original footprint, but perfectly mixed with the old structure.
The project was designed by Carpenter & MacNeille Architects & Builders. The cottage will be inspiring for those lovers of classic look like shingle style architecture brings.
COTTAGE OF CLASSIC SHINGLE STYLE
The moment you see this stunning façade you immediately fall in love with this classic shingled cottage. But its interior won’t disappoint you as well! This Dutch door and splendid décor go beyond your expectations.
The Dutch door is by Stephen Terhune Woodworking. It is made of reclaimed pine.
Walls are painted with “Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172″. The trim is painted by “Benjamin Moore Fog Mist OC-31″, semi gloss. These colors look beautiful together being a great option for color of the main floor.
WHITE AND BLUE DECOR
White and blue decorative pieces, built-in consoles and paneling add a classic touch to the design. The rug is by Landry & Arcari.
PAINT COLOR OF KITCHEN CABINET
Kitchen cabinet is painted by “Benjamin Moore Fog Mist OC-31″. The cabinet was made with patinated zinc hood that attracts attention. There is a large double-sided kitchen island that divides the cooking area and dining area.
COUNTERTOP AND BACKSPLASH
The countertops are 4350 Lagos Blue Caesarstone and the backsplash is Silver Travertine. There is also a wine refrigerator – Sub Zero Model 427G.
A small but gorgeous powder room. The “Rope” wallpaper (beige and white) by Cole & Son for Lee Jofa. Beadboard paneling is painted by “Benjamin Moore Fog Mist OC-31″, semi gloss.
This classic and coastal staircase has a stunning custom banister and railing. The lighting is coastal-inspired, made by Visual Lighting.
Adorable and simple guest bedroom. It is very welcoming and casual. Has the great darn door.
This space is wonderful for kids or for you to relax and read a favorite book. The linen pillows are great. The light fixture by Hudson Valley Lighting.
This bathroom is the new addition to the cottage. It is spacious and has an eternal design. The counter is made of polished quartzite and is called “Luca de Luna”. Floor tiles are “Smoke porcelain”. Color is “Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter HC-172”.
The custom cabinets are beneath sinks and on the left. They provide much space for the owners to keep things.
This is a walk-in closet that has plenty of storage. All is compact, hidden and organized being away from dust. The rug by Landry & Arcari.
