This Paris 25-sq-m apartment has everything one needs for comfortable family living – a kitchen, a bedroom, a living room and much storage space.
Tiny apartments in Paris are not so rare. In view of square meters’ expensiveness small flats are very popular there, especially among creative people and youth. That’s why local designers have tons of orders for tiny apartments.
The owners of this 25-meters apartment at the very center of Paris wanted to decorate their residence in classic style with neutral color palette and minimal set of trendy design pieces.
It is thought that classic interiors need more space. But design of this Paris apartment proves the opposite: even if the area is small, it is no need to follow minimalist style that is mostly recommended for compact dwellings.
The apartment features great rectangular plan and three huge windows that considerably facilitated designers’ work. Despite the low budget the owners decided not to save on furniture. Thus, the majority of pieces were custom-made by French masters; a sofa in the living room has been purchased at antique shop.
The walls are painted soft pastel colors. This solution allows not to divert attention from the elegant furnishing of the rooms and also helped to create a wonderful atmosphere of coziness and harmony.
Another architects’ trick is application of posters, mirrors and rectangular frames in the interior. This visually enlarged the space and made the rooms more proportional.
There is no a full-fledged hall in the apartment – only a big built-in cabinet at the front door. The kitchen is at the opposite, a water closet is behind the kitchen. The bedroom and living room with the dining area are on the left and right hand, correspondingly.
The kitchen looks small but has all necessary equipment including a dish-washing machine. The sleeping area is separated bu beautiful decorative screen from the living room. It features large bed and the doors leading to the bathroom.
Currently this apartment in the beautiful center of Paris is proposed for rent. It costs 150-330 euro per day.
