The authors of this apartment’s design in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan are specialists of HAO Design Studio.
The interior of the flat was developed for a married couple, their three beloved cats and collections of accessories and art belonging to them.
The designers decided to substitute old bright marble floors with more muted concrete flooring that immediately added modern and more industrial style to the whole space.
On entering the flat there is an iron panel with the owners’ favorite image applied on it.
As soon as a guest comes inside, he gets to the bright and opened space with the interior where modern and vintage accessories mixed harmoniously together.
Massive plywood shelving are the center of the living-room. They are for storing books and other printed products.
In the dining-room the designers put the table made of pine timber. The same material was used for the shelf on the brick wall. There is also a vintage telephone set hanging beside.
Right behind the dining-room there is a cat’s lair – the space exclusively made for cats to play and sleep.
Access to the cat’s area is made through the arch doors designed for the animals.
Shelves are installed on rails that allows moving them aside revealing the owners’ collection of music records.
This space is also used for watching films – the designers installed a large folding screen there.
