Small apartment design is always a challenge for designers. Living space must be beautiful, stylish and functional. So the designers have to blend all this harmonically on a small area.
This tiny apartment with the area of less than 40 square meters located in Manhattan’s Upper West-Side was no exception. A delicate challenge was accepted by the designers of Spect Harpman Architects.
To place everything necessary for the owners on these 40 square meters, the designers decided to zone the space by levels. Owing to different levels the authors managed to make the whole vertical space very spacious, light and opened.
They use various designer’s solutions in this apartment. For instance, space under the staircase is occupied by shelves for clothes that allowed preserving every centimeter of useful area.
In addition, on the upper level of this amazing apartment there is a small but very private and sweet garden.
