The designer was inspired by the house where the apartment is situated. It is an old prerevolutionary building at the very center of the Ukrainian capital so Elena chosen loft style.
The apartment was completely renovated – the kitchen has become a bedroom and the windows in the guest area were replaced by the bay windows.
Brickwork that was under the old wall finishes has been renovated and painted white. The wall is the main accent of this apartment. It was decided to leave a part of the old water-pipes that serve as a decor in the bedroom. A spirit of antiquity is also emphasized by floor tiles on the balcony and the halls.
The kitchen area initially was a premise with the area of 6 sq.m. It was made an isolated lounge room with a double bed and a built-in wardrobe.
A cooking area was combined with the living one. Large windows fill this room with abundance of natural light. The balcony railing was also demolished and replaced by transparent glass panels.
The living kitchen was divided into the guest zone and the cooking zone. A cooker with an oven are built in the bar that serves as a dining area.
