We’d like to show you a perfect redesign of a single-room flat into a two-room one with a separate bedroom, living-room, kitchen area and spacious dressing-rooms.
Ukrainian architect Evgeny Mesheruk was confronted with a difficult task. The owners of the flat in Kiev (Ukraine) wanted to transform a single-room apartment into two-room one. They examined more than ten different sketches to find interior design they were looking for.
The cooking area is combined with the living-room; a lounge is in a separate zone.
The main color of the walls and the ceiling is white that is a perfect choice for small spaces. White color added some lightness to the interior design and enhanced natural light coming from large bay windows.
Cold shade of the walls was perfectly softened with wooden flooring. Beige furniture in the living-room, warm color of the fronts and a fluffy carpet brought incredible coziness to the central area of the flat.
The kitchen is made in minimalistic style. It is completely equipped with all necessary devices and furniture. There is even a small dining area with a bar stand and soft chairs.
The kitchen interior also features extravagant ceiling tube-shaped lamps emitting soft warm light.
The bedroom is separated from the living zone with a partition wall made of black ceramic-granite. The same wall serves as a TV-zone. The room is accessed through the sliding doors made of mat glass that allows additional light to come in but at the same time provides intimacy.
The bedroom is also minimalistic. There is a bed with a wooden headboard, two bedside tables with lamps. The wall opposite to the window features a spacious storage place.
By the way, this is not a single cupboard in the flat. The hall also features many shelves and cabinets that smoothly flow into the kitchen block.
