Polish interior designers proved that 13 square meters can be perfect for making comfortable full-fledged bachelor apartment, put a bicycle and even hang up a hammock in it.
They say people don’t need much for happiness. This apartment in Poland is a proof of that. The room with the total area of 13 sqaure meters includes a kitchen, a sleeping zone, a lounge zone and a working place.
The walls were painted white because it is know that this color visually widens the space. The furniture made of light wood looks perfect here.
Owing to the high ceilings the designers managed to effectively use a loft zone by making a full-fledged double bed there. Right under the loft there is a wordrobe, a washing machine, a bathroom and a kitchen.
The area near the window features a hammock where the owners can spend their time reading a book or just have some rest watching the world outside.
Along one of the walls the designers placed a spacious functional chest of drawers. Its numerous storage places hold many things. At the opposite wall there is a pembroke table and black chairs that bring pleasant contrasts into the whole atmosphere.
Minimalism and strict lines of the design are diluted by fell rug that lies at the center of the premise. This detail visually widens and dilutes the ascetic space of the flat.
The kitchen was made under the sleeping area. There are only a couple of cupboards and cabinets but a skillful and proper arrangement of multi-functional things, such as lengthening table and a compact dish-washing machine, creates a completely comfortable place for cooking.
The bicycle was made a part of the interior decor – the designers hung it up onto the special brackets. There is even the place for pieces of art and home plants.
Recently the young people started reconsidering their atittude to large apartments in favor of small but functional spaces. Living in megalopolis dictates its rule and sometimes large area can’t be afforded by young population. Modern interior designers prove over and over again that even the smallest space can become a stylish and cozy dwelling.
